The Unique Kriegsmodell is an improved version of the model 17, developed by the German Heereswaffenamt for use by the German military. Over 25,000 of the Kriegsmodell were produced prior to 1944.  Germany called the weapon Die Selbstladepistole Unique Kriegsmodell (The Self loading pistol Unique War model).
